Saturday morning, ten-to-eleven, RB rang to say that he was on the way to our house with his daughter, N to pick up Fify.
It was quite a busy morning, we were preparing the house & food for Bapak’s birthday celebrations cum doa selamat. Mum had divided all the to-do lists among us all including the boys & girls. Wah! Excited habis…bergotong royong kat dapur…marinate chicken (supervised by Mum), hiris vegetables nak buat coselaw, cuci kentang nak buat mash potatoes (Ude’s secret recipe)…plus stuff for mee johor. Later in the evening, was to pick up the nasi briyani and kari ayam. In between, some parents also came by to visit their child.
Nearly an hour later, RB and N arrived. Although a bit shy, I could see that N was excited to see the kittens, clutching a pink cat collar in one hand – for Fify. I had earlier woken the two brothers (Dottie & Zoey) from sleep, and scooped Fify from her fav hangout (Cik Kiah’s tembok batu) and placed them all in a cage. I figure that it would be easier to see them rather than having to run all over the place chasing them.
Fify, being Fify, after smelling strangers and seeing unfamiliar faces who wants to hold her, started making “growling” noises. Hehe..its really cute you see, because she doesnt really scratch or bite. But she just makes these supposedly “growling” noises to scare people. After a short chat on Fify’s medical history & diet, I placed her back in the cage, preparing her for the journey to her new home. The boys were rolling about among the dry leaves near the trees. Jenny was also around, showing off her skills scaling up a tree. And Soothy also popped by to say “hallo”. Only Ma Bear wasnt around to see her little princess off.
I felt a little sad tinge. Waved Fify good bye. Saw them to the car. and soon Fify was driven away….Goodbye Fify. We will miss you. Make your new family happy with your little antics and stop being such a cry baby ok. Kiss kiss…
