Selamat Menyambut Maal Hijrah…

Filed under: Uncategorized — by ashiqysworld @ 4:51 pm

Usually, almost every year, I’d would be reminded of the coming of the New Year of Islam either by my family members or through emails from friends of the 1st day of Muharram.

One of the highlights of the coming year, is the end of year and beginning of year doa, read near the end of Asr prayers on the last day of Zulhijjah and the other read soon after the call for Magrib prayers is made.

The past years I’ve done so at the surau in the office as it was a working day. And last year I had the opportunity to join my family at the Masjid Negeri, where afterwards there was a very interesting tazkirah on the differences in Mazhab.

This year, as I was out in town, I had the opportunity to join the reading of doas at the Masjid Abu Bakr in Bangsar. The imam was very clear in his reading and we could easily follow & understand. I had the opprtunity to reflect on the deeds that I have done for the past year, seek forgiveness from Allah for all the wrongdoings and make doa that for this year I would strive to be a better Muslim, a better daughter and a better person.

Insya-allah…Amin.

my typical Saturday

Opened my eyes…and closed them again..*bliss* its a Saturday morning a.k.a non-working day! Yay! No need to rush out of bed, except that my little kitties wants their breakfast.

Normally after feeding them breakfast, letting them out to play (much to my mother’s dislike..hehe) I’d clean their cages, the outside concrete floor, the poo trays and all. They’d  run freely in the garden, climb trees and laze out in the sun. My dad says that our house is a mini zoo, with the 4 cats, 4 kittens, a parrot and several fishes.

Nearer to mid-morning, Amal & Faz comes home from BJ. They’d just came back from their honeymoon in Phuket. Uish…seronok Husna, sebab dapat ole-ole. Amal was showing us some of the pics taken while they were there. The place is beautiful, worth going… tapi banyak tourist. Yang lawaknye tuh ppl thought that they were an Arab couple on holiday hehehehe…

Tghari, Mummy wasnt feeling well, so I accompanied my dad to his friend’s daughter’s wedding at Dewan MBSA. Met Abby’s mom & dad, what a small world, they are neighbours of the bride’s family. Seronok sembang dengan Auntie N, banyak cerita, pasal family and her children especially. Dad plak found a friend in Uncle T – sembang apa lagi …politics ler..hahaha..Then met some of his old uni mates. Bertambah rabung ler… Later Amal & Faz also came, as the groom is Amal’s high school friend at SAS, and the bride is Faz’s friend from KMB. I must say that the food was nice, loved the atmosphere and overall good do.

Petang, took Husna out to get stuff for school. Her books, toiletries etc.. then we went to MPH in Subang. But I must say that the collection of both adult and children’s books are better in OU. Today her mood is better, although lama kena wait while I was trying to find a good book, she didn’t complain much. Dah makin besar my little sister nih.
