and Jill came tumbling after…

Filed under: Myself — by ashiqysworld @ 9:48 pm

The nursery rhyme goes something like this:

“Jack and Jill went up the hill,

to fetch a pail of water,

Jack fell down and broke his crown,

 and Jill came tumbling after.”

Well tumbling was what happened to me….it was sooo embarassing!

It was on Wednesday, some time after 3pm in the afternoon, I was walking down the curved, black marble steps at Block C towards the Lobby area. To this day I’m not quite sure what happened, one minute I was descending down the steps. There was a guy in a blue shirt in front of me and a couple of visitors walking in front of us. And a couple of security peeps near the lifts. Then suddenly, I was tumbling..literally..and I couldnt stop myself.  My purse and car keys flew out of my hands in my effort to grab hold of the steel railing…and I kept falling and falling. And I would have fallen straight to the bottom of the curved stairs had it not been for a strong arm that held my right shoulder. OMG!! It was so embarassing…my face must have been red as a beetroot! I didnt even look at his face. He passed me one of my pink shoes which had come off when I fell. Huhuhuh

The lady visitors quickly came to my aid. “Are you ok? Are you hurt?” terpaksalah jawap “No..no I’m fine. I just need to sit for a while and gain my bearings” Heheheh dalam hati tuhan je yang tahu. Betapa malu and my right leg was throbbing. [Later I found that they were some scratches and bruises, a little bleeding. But I was generally fine.]

The two security peeps. “Akak, ok ke? Betul ok? Macam tak percaya lah. Akak ok tak?Isk budak ni, mestilah I’d say I’m fine. Debik kang. Then one of them came up to me on the stairs, “Lincin agaknyer…”

Tak pa, tak pa saya ok” Better get up before these concerned citizens panggil stretcher ke…hahahah..Then I saw Mr. L coming down the other side of the curved stairs..”What happened to you?” “I fell down the stairs Mr. L.” and with a smile I quickly walked out the lobby area.

Later, kecoh kat department..I fell huhuhu…TF suruh bubuh minyak gamat, which I did. CHT & HS pun dtg tgk luka…takpe skit jer..:P  SO said “You fell?” :P , AB pun tgk my luka jugak …Malu. Tapi saving grace, mujur tak tergolek depan security guy yang cute tuh (he was on duty at Lobby A) kalau tidak mmg lah. Cuti seminggu beb! Hahahah

Next day, Mr. L saw me in the pantry. “How are you?” “I’m ok. Aside from the embarassment” Senyum kelat skit. “Better be careful when you go to SK then, the stairs are curved as well.” Haha thanks for the heads up Mr. L.

Manic Friday – Part 2

Where were we? Oh yes, Winzy said she could drive us to KLCC.

We got there safely, parked her car and made our way to the Selangor Dredging Building. The sun was shining right above our heads, panas…with less than a breeze blowing. But we didn’t take too much notice because we were too busy gossiping (about the accident-lah what else). Finally we got into the building, shade..cool air. Alhamdulillah. We looked around for the correct address. Found it. Yes, its the correct one. We were greeted by a couple of security guards, who proceeded to scan our handbags with a metal detector. Hmmm…dejavu…do they want us to open our shoes next? :)

Walked passed the security peeps, and the second security thingy. Stepped into the huge white area…air conditioning..aaahhh…best!

Walked in, there were lots of people milling around. Mostly foreigners I noticed, with Middle Eastern or Eastern European features and dressed like students complete with knapsacks and all. There was a long table with a few staff manning the desk, but it was busy. Lots of people queueing. Then my eyes caught a lone figure perched behind a tiny desk, and the sign says “Reception”. He had curly hair, longish, cut a little bit above the shoulders with a black headband holding it back (David Beckham style…:) ). He was nice enough to oblige by putting MC on the line. I left the documents that she wanted with him.

Meanwhile Winzy is playing around with the computer…IELTS..*click* dates, *double click* exam, procedure, fees. Interesting. We asked IZ (that was his name, I asked..) where we could purchase the IELTS specimen book. “Akak nak senang ke susah? Kalau biasa kena ambik number dan queuelah, kalau nak senang, akak kasi duit kat saya, saya amikkan untuk akak.” Isk budak ni, mestilah nak senang. So we ordered two from him.  Thanks a bunch. While I waited for the receipts, Winzy browsed through some pamphlets. Oh sorry, did I forgot to mention, if you havent guessed yet. We were at British Council. :)

After that we mosied on back to KLCC, stomach grumbling, zig-zagging past the afternoon traffic. Where to eat? We settled on Sakae Sushi….yummeh. Salmon..salmon and more salmon hehe.. Winzy quietly dug into her softcrab rolls and chawanmushi, sampling a few from the selection that I got off the kaiten belt as well. Soon we were done, soo kenyang and we were standing at the cashier’s waiting for the nice Nepali waiter to punch in our orders. Then something caught my eye.  A cute guy eating with his friends at a table near us. “Winzy, check out the guy behind us..hehe” I thought he was oblivious to me stealing glimpses of him from behind Winzy…then as we we leaving, I stopped near the entrance and turned to have a last look, when suddenly he was looking right at me. Yikes!! Maluuu..cepat jalan hehehehe

So we had fun…Thanks Winzy!!! Arighatho gozaimass
